FUN FACT OF THE DAY:
Today, the 2nd - 4th grades are going to be working on basketball skills. Remember: if you don't have a basketball or a hoop...don't sweat it! Always do the best you can with what you do have. Kindergarten and first graders are working on kicking skills. Here are some FUN FACTS about basketball and kicking:
Joseph Odhiambo (USA) has dribbled 6 basketballs simultaneously, beating his previous record of 5. The feat took place on 15 August 2000 at his home at Mesa, Arizona, USA.
I can´t wait to see his video!
A soccer ball has 32 panels; each one represents one of the 32 countries in Europe.
Did anyone know this one???

Friday´s throwing and catching fun Fact:
The farthest American football throw into a target is 50 yards and was achieved by Tyler Toney in Fort Worth, Texas, USA, on 23 January 2017. How come we never heard of this guy playing in the NFL??
It looks like the weather is getting better over the next few days. Here are some fun ways to play catch with a partner. Just highlight the link below and try some over the weekend.

Fun throwing & catching fact of the day:
The name ‘Frisbee’ is said to have originated from the Frisbie Pie Company’s metal pie tins that were used by university students as flying discs, and it is a trademark name owned by Wham-O, an American toy company, who bought the rights to the invention in 1957.
Try to get outside today for a throw and catch with a frisbee. Frisbees are hard to throw and catch but if you do it the right way, it's a little easier. Hold the frisbee level to the ground, turn to the side, flick your wrist, step forward with your lead foot and point to the person you are throwing it to with your throwing hand. Good luck...let me know how you did!
¨WHERE´S MS. JACOBSEN?¨
I thought yesterday´s secret site was going to be hard. I guessed wrong. Yesterday´s big FOOTSIE winner was Jack Tomassi from 1B/1U. Way to go! Others that were close (but no FOOTSIE) were Emily L. of 2G and Ian M. of 4M Good luck with today's secret location:
